This year for Black History Month, the chapel team wanted to highlight the two parts of having a meaningful conversation: vulnerable sharing and intentional listening. In the four Fridays in February, we will be hearing stories from a variety of experiences and music from a variety of gospel groups. Students will also be sharing about how they have been influences by past and present day activists for the Black community. It is the hope of the chapel team that through these four weeks, students gain a broader perspective on the Black experience and learn to lean into the responsibility to create a better narrative. Success for the month will look like the student body being willing to pause and listen to each other and say together, lift every voice and sing!
