WE ARE NO LONGER RECEIVING 2024 GRADUATION BAPTISM REQUESTS.
If you wish to be baptized, we fully support this and would love to connect you with a local church and pastor.
Contact pastor Tim at [email protected] for more info.
Every year Loma Linda Academy gives the opportunity for senior graduates to be baptized during Consecration (Friday night of Graduation weekend), and 8th grade graduates during their commencement on Thursday, by a pastor of their choosing.
SENIORS: This year consecration will be held at Loma Linda University Church on Friday, May 31, 2024.
8th GRADERS: Commencement takes place outside on the Loma Linda Academy Campus on Thursday, May 30, 2024.
PARENTS/GUARDIANS: Baptism is a personal commitment that every individual should make based on their own convictions and not that of others. With that said, if your child expresses a desire for baptism, assisting them in that decision and on that journey is a wonderful thing. The Christian walk, although a personal commitment, is expressed and experienced in community with others.

Read below for the official stance on baptism by the Seventh-Day Adventist Church:
- "By baptism we confess our faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and testify of our death to sin and of our purpose to walk in newness of life. Thus we acknowledge Christ as Lord and Saviour, become His people, and are received as members by His church. Baptism is a symbol of our union with Christ, the forgiveness of our sins, and our reception of the Holy Spirit. It is by immersion in water and is contingent on an affirmation of faith in Jesus and evidence of repentance of sin. It follows instruction in the Holy Scriptures and acceptance of their teachings."
