Auditions will be held in two rounds this year.
First round: Video Auditions. Due no later than Monday, September 2. Someone on the Ministry Director team will reach out by September 5 to let you know if you have made it to the second round or not. Second round: Live Auditions. For those who are called to be part of the second round, live auditions are Friday, September 20 after school in Chan Auditorium. Please make yourself available 1-4pm that day.* *You will be assigned one more song for live auditions and will find out more information at time of contact. INSTRUCTIONS FOR VIDEO AUDITIONS: 1) Keep it simple. The onboard cellphone camera/mic are perfectly fine. 2) NO editing. Retake the video as many times as you want. But for your final video, do not edit audio or video so as to maintain the integrity of your singing and/or playing. 3) Record ENTIRE song. Start the recording before the song begins and end it after the track is finished. 4) Record with reference track provided. We will be paying attention to your ability to stay in time as we will be implementing click this year. 5) Be visibly in frame. If you're playing guitar, make sure both hands are seen. Keys, same. Vocals, we need to see your face, etc. 6) Don't worry about saying anything before or after the song. The first round is solely to evaluate your ability to effectively play or sing your part. 7) Submit multiple audition forms if you plan on auditioning for more than one instrument.
